The 2024 Charter Day Dinner continues a tradition of honoring the founding of Howard University through a University-wide and community celebration. The annual gala, serving as Howard’s premiere fundraising event, is one of the most important engagements on the University’s annual calendar.
Charter Day is a time-honored tradition commemorating the signing of the federal charter on March 2, 1867 that established Howard as a university. 2024 marks the 100th Charter Day Dinner with proceeds benefiting H.U. scholarships. The evening’s entertainment was provided by Anthony Anderson and Kenny Lattimore and as would be expected, HUAC/GWDC represented as only HUAC/GWDC can represent. H.U – You Know.!!!!
